Screw Channel pumps have an impeller that is shaped like a corkscrew, housed in a cone shape housing. Through the rotation of this screw the liquid is displaced. The main advantage of these pumps is a blockage free operation.
Centrifugal screw pumps are ideal for transferring abrasive, chemically aggressive and highly viscous liquids. The open screw impeller allows liquids containing solids up to 30% to be transferred without blockages. These pumps typically have a unique and robust design, that makes them energy efficient and low ongoing pump maintenance costs compared to other pumps used in similar applications.
Sanitary or Hygienic Screw Channel Pumps are excellent for pumping food products that are shear sensitive and solids laden. They are often used for pumping thick products up to 1500 cP, and can manage products that have solid particles in suspension up to 60% solids and 40% water.
There is an extensive range of pumps; including, horizontal, vertical, close coupled or long coupled pumps, and a full range of submersible options for wet and dry well applications.
